Observability Atlas

Editable architecture field guide · six interlocks · one operating model

See how OCI services become operational evidence.

Move from cloud-foundation signals to correlated observability, governed action, and measurable outcomes. Every poster is a fully editable vector sheet built for architecture reviews, workshops, and large-format export.

Open the downloaded file in diagrams.net. Each sheet is uncompressed XML on a 3000 × 4243 A-series 4K poster canvas. DOC badges open official Oracle sources, while labels, icons, lanes, groups, and colors remain editable at any export resolution.

Cross-domain correlation layer

Logan across every interlock.

Oracle Log Analytics, called Logan in this field guide, now appears throughout network, security, IAM, landing-zone, operations, and end-to-end workflows. It turns mixed operational records into searchable evidence, clusters recurring patterns, links related activity, and supports scheduled detections.

  1. Logs and eventsIngest file, syslog, database, Windows event, REST, OCI service, Streaming, Object Storage, and OpenTelemetry log records.
  2. MetricsExtract measures from log records or correlate them with OCI Monitoring using shared time, entity, and workload labels.
  3. PrometheusPrometheus exporter metrics remain in a metric backend. Pair them with Logan records rather than describing Logan as a Prometheus scraper.
  4. APMAPM remains a linked service in current public documentation. Correlate traces and logs with trace context; treat any future consolidation as roadmap-dependent.

Interactive companion

Explore the interlocks before opening the poster.

Select a domain to inspect its sources, control-plane services, outcomes, and operating loop. The web view and Draw.io file share the same canonical catalog.

Source-grounded reference

Service details, signals, and official sources.

Filter the catalog by the active diagram, service family, or keyword. Open any service for its role in the interlock and a direct Oracle documentation link.

Editable source library

Every diagram, in both editable formats.

Use the combined six-sheet Draw.io workbook, or download an individual Draw.io, Excalidraw, or print-quality vector PDF poster. The documented edition includes clickable official sources and labels independent architecture inferences explicitly.

Designed to evolve

One data file. Three maintained surfaces.

Edit assets/interlocks/catalog.json, run npm run generate:interlocks:documented, and the explorer, source register, Draw.io files, and Excalidraw files stay aligned.

Independent community reference—not an Oracle product. Verify architecture and service behavior against the linked official documentation.
